Battery dies with headlights

I'm not completey sure we are on the same page here. There would be no issue with the alternator, because this guy's battery did not go dead with engine running. It went dead because he had left the headlights on. Alternator output is irelevent for this issue. Nothing personal, just from the way you a focusing on the alternator implies that you might think it was draining the battery with the engine on.

This said, just charge the battry back up and see what happens. In any case, don't wait too long to charge it, since a partially charged battery that sits is soon to be a dead battery.

Khanty!

My opinion - is to revolt and use old battery... If problem with battery would not apeare in a week, to use it.... till the next problem.
