Well as you can see from my info I have been a Superduty owner for a few short weeks. Last night my wife lost control on an icy highway and rolled my new to me truck. You can also see I paid my support dues to this site just last night before I was aware of the accident. I'm not sure how this is all going to work out because we financed the truck and beside our down payment havn't even made our first monthly installment. I am truely impressed with the info on this site and, if possible, will buy another superduty if this one get written off which I think will happen.
My wife recieved only minor injuries thankfully but I can't say as much for the truck. I am going to the compound and will post pictures later today.
Bad things can happen when a newly purchased vehicle gets totaled. I hope it does not happen to you. Glad you hear that the wife is not seriously injured.

Glad to hear your wife is ok! Just be glad she was in a SD and not a small Honda when it rolled.
I'll be the first to make crazy-women/wife jokes usually, but seriously, it's most important that your wife is OK.
Secondly, check your finance papers to see if you have 'gap insurance'. It'll cover the difference between what you owe and the depreciated value if it's totaled.
Sure glad your wife is Ok...and only had minor injuries. These SD's tend to protect the occupants pretty well.
On the other side of it...hope your insurance works with you. I have to say, that I owned a 2003 Honda Civic with only about 2000 miles or less when a nice BIG Cadillac Escalade decided to change lanes...and did not see me. He (or she they never stopped) ran us off the road into a light pole. The Civic was totaled...and my wife and I walked away with NO injuries. We were pretty lucky...and the insurance company really took care of us. They paid the Civic off with check in hand in about a week time. The following week we were back into a new 2003 Civic and on the road. Heck...made the sales person happy. Purchased two Civic's within a months time...LOL.
Hope you have a good experience like we did! Good luck!
She was doing about 60km/h on a newly resurfaced concrete highway. The cause of the rollover was a steep ditch that was poorly finished by the contruction company. A 6 - 10 inch windrow was left in the gravel from the finishing crew in the gravel bank, now forzen solid it caught the left rear tire and that was that.
From what I can tell she did a barrel roll/piroette and came to a stop on the passenger door. She somehow came out of her seat belt and was standing on the passenger window when it stopped. Thanks to some friendly travellers she was able climb out the drivers door and get away from the truck. The only article that is still MIA is a garage door opener. Everything that was in the box is still there. The brand new Truxedo cover I bought held up quite nicely.
As for the insurance company, it is Government insurance so at this point I don't know where we stand as far as "gap" insurance and such. I will find out more next week.
The truck definetely did its job, looks like it crushed in all the right places. Glad to hear that your wife is uninjured. A life is harder to replace than a pickup.
Whew....scary. Ditto what everyone else said....glad nobody was hurt. Sometimes these things can be a real jump start to making a person take stock of what is important in life.
Ya know, separate the mundane from the passion? Anyways, I hope your insx takes good care of you....I swear, sometimes insx is the biggest rip-off, at least here in the states.
It's like, you pay your premiums (which are expensive anyways) and then when you actually need to make a claim, they screw you.
