Broken outside door handle
I tried searching for an answer, but the search feature is turned off for non-members. I'm selling the van so I don't want to spend the money to join for a few weeks. So all I can do is start a new thread after looking at several months of questions and answers and finding no help.
The front passenger outside door handle on my 97 Club Wagon no longer opens the door. It is stuck in the out position and won't retract even with some force. The door will open from the inside handle. My wife just informed me about it last night. I looked at my Factory service CD and I know I'll need to take it apart, but I thought I would ask first if anyone else has had this issue. We need the van to transport our daughter and her wheelchair.
I've done door repairs before and I'm not looking forward to this one. The fix is usually not easy, so if you have suggestions please let me know. I'll start on it after lunch today.

Thanks, but I found a new aftermarket handle and replaced it on Friday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. The handle was worn out and broken. The handle has worn enough that it let the rod slip by.
