headers for my 302
hey's guy's, I need to redo my exhaust on my 54 ford pu so I thought while im at it I should consider putting headers on it as well . Im wondering if anyone else has close to the some set up as I? I've got a 80's 302 with an AOD transmission. I have also changed the front suspension to a volare with the volare gear box. Is there a set of headers that I could use already made that I could just bolt on? I will have a muffler shop pipe it and would like to run the exhaust below the step in front of the rear wheels. any help would be appreciated. bill

I'd check with Sanderson, they make headers to fit almost any combo, and if they don't have it the'll make it. Whatever ones you buy, be sure to get them ceramic coated either from the manufacturer or aftermarket. well worth it!

I spent a good amount of time finding headers to fit my 289 in my 56. After trying to install four sets of headers from longs to blockhuggers, I got a set of Sanderson shorties, had em ceramic coated and installed them with no banged up knuckles. Sanderson is the way to go.
