A guy in town is selling his '76 ford supercab longbox truck. It has a 390 4bbl and auto. It has 117,000 miles but runs pretty good still. The body is rusty though and it is brown. He'd like to get 400 bucks for it.

 

I might be interested but it`s almost in a different time zone from me! It would be a cheap donor vehicle for a project.

Redvers is in the south east corner of Sask, almost in Manitoba. Really, you need to buy a MAP soon!

You know if I wasn't working this weekend I'd love to go to the meeting in Saskatoon, and bring my twin brother, and maybe bring that truck for you!

Redvers is about 500 kms. from saskatoon. We are about 10 miles from the manitoba border and about 90 miles from Brandon. We are also about 30 miles or so from the US border and 100 miles from Minot ND. Needless to say a trip to minot is nothing! Yep, you can't get much more in the SE corner of the province!

Yep, Estevan is only an hour and a half drive from us. We always went there to race at Estevan Motor Speedway.

 

That would have been great to meet you both, maybe at the next meeting. It looks like there will be a garage tour in Jan., we`ll try to hold meetings ever two months. We have yet to decide on what date. Thanks for the offer and if the truck is still around when you can come to Saskatoon I think I would be interested.

 

Sounds like a garage meeting would be the one NOT to miss. We'll play it by ear and see what happens. We'll make it to one yet for sure.

 

Speaking of 76 ford supercabs, when I stopped for diesel down in weyburn, a guy gave me his number and he is selling a supercab 76 with a 460 in it for 500 bucks or best offer, and he sounded desperate so I imagine he would take 300 bucks or so too. If anyone wants this guys number and is interested in it, let me know.

 

Why are all these good deals so far away? Perhaps it`s a good thing as my farm yard is too full already, time to get rid of afew before spring.
