c6 problem help please!!!
alright well my step dad was changin the trans fluid in my 82 f150 with a c6 pulled off the pan and found a piece sitting in the bottom of the pan he describes it as this ... white with a round end and a stem coming out of it that is about an inch and half long with an oring on it... his chiltons book says that a c4 has a throttle pressure limiter valve that looks just like it and it falls out the bottom of the tranny when you open it up and not to lose it is this what this is or is it something else .... hope nothing bad but yea if you could let me know what it is and where it goes i would appreciate it much!! tyty

Didn't I just read this post the other day? That is most likely the plug put in at the plant that ***. It new. When installed at the factory it is pushed into the pan by the dipstick tube. It hurts nothing and proves the pan has never been removed before.
