All original 1966 F100 with 352 with stock performance heads (350hp stock i think) and a 3 speed. Its a short bed with some rust but not much at all. Runs very good and is street legal. I'm thinking of buying it, just wondering what everyone thought it cost.
Well how much is he asking sounds like a nice truck but need more information and details if its in good shape what your looking for and the price is right i would buy it...
$2500.00 just wanted to know if thats about right. rust on the floor of the bed, some holes. no rust on quarters. looks to be original paint. surface rust on roof. surface rust on floor boards. the majority of the rust is in the bed floor and a little in the back corners of the cab. interior is near perfect except for cracked dash pad. of course paint is faded a lot because of it being original....its that sea foam color over white.
does anyone know what the 352 came with stock as far as heads. he said he thinks the performance ones on there are stock. he said its supposed to be a 352 with 350 hp stock. i'll try to get further when i have time.
First off JR, WELCOME to FTE & the 61-66 F Series forum page. As our fearless leader John likes to say, the Nations FoMoCo Information Truck stop.
I doubt it has 350 horse power. The R Code 352 in 1960 with solid lifters and all that rig-a-mar-ole only made 360 hp. . . . I believe it's more like 208hp. If it's a 4V Carb it may produce 220 or so but they didn't come OEM in F Series Trucks.
Excluding Cammers and Holman & Moody or Smokey Yunick Hi Performance engines, there are only about 5 different OEM Stock Cyl Heads for all the FE's Henry ever built.

to my knowledge there is no performance 352 truck motor. Only PI engines in cars and the like. it was 208 or pick another mobile...better of asking in the FE forum for details like that.
Ugrades ? like air , power steering, trim, fancy cabin air fans, door panels etc??
no power steering, the cab is perfect condition but nothing fancy about it. it has door panels. I'll look at it more when i get a chance and get a vin off of it if possible.
Get some picts would help our opinions alot. Look at the floor pans, cab mounts, drip rail, radiator support, etc... Lastly drive the darn thing before you come bee boppin up there with a pocket full of throw me away...
The seller is a person I know so I'm sure hes not blowing smoke...he's telling me what he was told when he bought it. It has performance heads on it and i'm not sure about the carb. I'm guessing that the person before him put the heads on. So basically im looking at a good condition shortbed 66 with 352 and a 3 on the tree. I appreciate it, just wanted to see if this was one of the good ones.

OK, How do you identify the heads as being performance? What is giving it away?
Stay with us here, you asked a question and we want to be able to help you.
Get the numbers off the heads they are between the 2-3 and 6-7 spark plugs. I'll look them up and tell you if they're performance or not. My guess is no.."reason" the intake ports on the truck are small and will be doing very little good trying to mate with the size ports on performance heads
i believe they say cobra jet on them or cobra something heads. the more i think about it, i think someone added the heads and the carb looked like a 4 barrel so its most likely aftermarket too.
