VSS Sensor

92,F150,4x4, auto, Where is the VSS sensor located? We have looked on the transmission and transfer case and cannot seem to locate it?

you might not have a vss but rather a rabs sensor on top of your rear diff.

The RABS speed sensor and the VSS were one in the same beginning in 92, located on the top of the rear end like breisr said.

I checked all the fuses and I changed the sensor on the rear end housing and still the speedometer is not working it's still shifting really hard?

it is most likely your PSOM. you can pick up an instrument cluster from a yard for about $50.
