1997 Explorer muffler/exhaust
1997 Explorer Sport 4x4 4.0 SOHC approx 61,000 miles
My son is now driving this truck and the muffler is finally spitting so much I know I can't patch the holes again. Original exhaust system...I have replaced exhaust systems on many vehicles, but this one is weird. Do I even want to attempt it myself, or should I just take it in? First place I called wanted $285 for the muffler and tailpipe!!!
Also, where is a good place to buy a replacement system if I DO try it? Several auto parts stores I called can't even order a cat-back system.
