I'm wanting to add one of these fancy looking exhaust tips to the truck I just bought. (i think they look cool) I have stock exhaust on my truck and as we all know that pipes measures about 3, 5/8" O.D. I have just been looking on the internet for the tips and I can't tell much about them. My question is- will these that are advertised with an inlet of 4" and outlet of 5 or 6" tighten down on my stock exhaust? Has anyone added one of these to their stock exhaust? thanks.
I managed to get a MBPR 6" tip that necks down to 4" on my stock exhaust. I went and found a scrap piece of 4" pipe from the local exhaust shop, cut a short piece off, bent in with a hammer, welded it onto my 3 1/2" pipe, then installed the tip. I did have to extend my last exhaust hanger so the tip would clear the back rocker panel, but all was good after that! I'll try to load pics later! Good Luck
