I've noticed a low rumbling sound after down shifting from overdrive.. But once back in OD it goes away.. My tranny shifts great and smooth..
Can a TQ be bad and not the tranny ?? Or does this even should like that problem ?
Before you ask it's an auto trans...Belonging to the truck in my sign....
And if this is a TQ how long before it goes completely out ?
Or is it something else ??
Any help will be appreciated........

My TC was would make a rattling scratchy sound more than a rumbling sound that would go away when the tc locked. Very common on early powerstrokes. Changed only the Torque Converter and running great. No problems with the trans before the change except the noise.
