Banks six gun?

Anyone use the new Banks six gun tuner? Seems like a cool deal, six HP ratings and EGR and Boost guage all in one. I found one for $300 that even had the EGR auto limiter feature. I know everyone recommends the DP and I'm not ready for a chip yet, but just curious if anyone has used this set up?

If I recall corectly, the 6gun only bumps up pressure, kind of a fancy 10k (or whatever that was) mod. I like the egt monitoring/defueling option, a failsafe of sorts. I was told it had tranny temp functions as well, but talked to banks and they said that part never worked and they decided against it. Also, it will only read the boost your map sensor sees, so if your using a boost relief or regulator it will not be accurate.

My impression with the 6-Gun wasn't that great. I had it stacked with a Predator tuner, and didn't notice much of any difference whether it is on level 1 or level 6. It is basically a fancy adjustable 10K-18K mod - changes your ICP. I still have it on the truck, but only for monitoring purposes now. I basically just use it to adjust my MAP regulator and to monitor post-turbo EGTs. Both of which are almost unnecessary, since the MAP sensor doesn't need to be adjusted much, and I have a pre-turbo pyro now.

I just put one (Banks) in nine weeks ago and returned from a 7,000 mile hunting camping trip last week over dusty road and super highways. I hauled a large Lance camper. I am very impressed with the power settings. I keep it on leverl 3 but when I need power to go over the summits or hit a strong head wind I boost it up to 6. It comes with a real time sensor EGT sensor, a trany warning light I set at 220 and I put in a real time tranny sensor and set the limits. Never reach a warning signal. With a 4 inch exhaust and new air filtering system I appreicate the six gun. Gives me all I really need so far

A friend of mine has one on his 06 F250 with a 5" exhaust and he loves it, He had a Bullydog on his late 03 till he had a head gasket go South, He likes the Banks better.
