Tranny lost first and second
Hello all, first post here and its a doozy. 91 3/4 ton standard 5 speed. The tranny will not shift into first or second. I hear it is a Mazda trans(?). Anyone have any ideas on a fix or leads to replacing with another? Any help is greatly appreciated.

the 3/4ton would not have the mazda tranny. that tranny was a light duty tranny. you would have the ZF5speed. have you changed fluids? how old is the clutch? its possible the syncros are shot as well.

As far as I know the clutch is original. Not much history on PO. Rather than tear into it, I need this back and operational fairly soon. I believe I could replace faster than rebuild. Is there any other HD standard I could easily adapt to the 302?

that model tranny is not to cheap but there is one on Ebay starting bid is 800 i think. you need to get a positive id of the tranny you have. look for any tags, or ref numbers. that tranny would also have a hydrolic clutch, check the resivor fluid level
