Does anyone know how to figure out what rate of coil spring is needed for a particular application? I am in the process of collecting parts to convert my 1969 torino from leafs to a mustang factory 4 link. I just dont know what rate springs i need, and i don't have a clue what info is needed to figure it out. the weight of the car is 3,173 lbs which is really close to what a fox body mustang weighs. should i start out with a set of fox mustang coils, and go from there?
any thoughts?
Thanks
Matt
The mustang springs might be just fine if the ride height works out where you want it.
But this is a matter of what you want from the car. If they are too soft, you can always go with some adjustable coil-over shocks.
