Everytime it rains
I have a problem every time it rains. I have a 99 Ranger 3.0 and I get squealing. I installed a new serpentine belt about 6 months ago so I don't think it is the belt. I can't tell where the squealing is coming from. I think it is either the idler pulley or the tensioner. It squeals after rain but after a few days of dry weather the squealing stops. The tensioner arrow is within the correct range. I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. Thank you

Get a simple mechanics stethoscope & listen to the bearings of each accessory as it runs. These can be had for around $5-10 at tool supply or parts stores. Could try and see if drive belt anti-squeal spray helps. Good stuff regardless of problems or not. O sometimes may need to clean the pulleys really well with simple green and brush. Even a brass wire brush in a bad case.
