Ball Joint Replacement
My '98 Navigator failed its State inspection today. Reason, the Driver's side lower ball joint is worn. Everything else was good and tight.
I went to a couple of local shops and recieved estimates from 240$ to 400$. That seems like a lot for one ball joint. Espically when it cost 40$ for the part.
I have decide that I'm going to replace it myself.
Is the procedure in the Tech article "How To Replace 1997-2003 F150 Ball Joints" the same for a navigator? The Haynes manual doesn't give a good procedure.
My concern is that this project is going to be a hassel, like how the front brake rotors were.

Yes the procedure is the same.
