This is my first post,so I hope I'm in the right thread.I've got a '79 LN800 with a 429 Lima engine.This thing pulls better than the 350 Cummins in my Freightliner.Anyone know the HP rating for this engine?None of the factory manuals or Ford have this info.It's a 429 Lima with a 4 barrel,with full air brakes,and A/C,which don't seem to pull it down at all.

hmm my FIL 84 800 is rated at a whooping...... 175hp. of course remove that wonderful holley goverened carb, reset the timing (10'btdc from 2'atdc), and asist in the remaval of the stock emmision components, and i am sure 200+ is reachable, and very easy.. remember the lima was built for longevity not power
