As I remember it from my childhood Leaded Petrol for Supreme was 100 octane, Ethel was 98 octane & Regular was 96 octane.
When I was running my '58 M-100 w/ her 223 I-6, I had the valve seats hardened, the carb set up so that I could used Unleaded Regular 87 octane & averaged 20mpg city & 25mpg hwy.
