New to the form ,I have a 99 ,f250 ,4x4 ,4.6 , 48,000 miles. The truck starts missing when going up little hills at 60 t0 65 , turn off OD run fine,Whatuss up.
I'm gonna say spark plugs or plug wires/COP boots(depending on what yours has). My truck did that when we first got it at 107K miles. Changed the plugs/wires,and fixed the problem.

That may be tranny shudder if it does it around 45 and 50.Aka torque converter shudder. It may be unlocking as soon as it locks.Feels just like a miss.fluid replacement may help it your lucky.
cheers
Reporting back,No miss fire showed up. must be tranny,How will changing tranny fluid help and how do I get the tranny fluid out of the torque conveter. I am going to change the fluid .#2 If that does not work.Do I Need to get the tranny rebuilt or just replace torque conveter.
Some people change the fluid and the problem disappears, others say they had to have it rebuilt.
I've heard a shift kit both hides and avoids this problem if done soon enough.
If the OD light isn't flashing and the fluid is old change it now.
Have the pan dropped, filter changed and converter drained ,some have plugs some don't.
I would go to a reputable tranny shop and not say a word about the shudder. If they find excessive clutch material(sludge)and metal filings they will let you know or ask them what the pan looked like.
Flushing the system with a machine is a bad idea especially on an older unit with or without problems as it can stir up any crap in the pan and block passages.Plus it's always good to see whats in there.
I would double check and totally rule out a miss before allowing work on the tranny unless it becomes obvious.
good luck
