Grr legality question

I have a question.

Texas law states that an engine swap must be an engine that's newer than the vehicle it's going into.

So I have a 302 block I'm peicing together over time. What year do I call this engine? Is it a 2006 or 2007 as I get it finished?

Thanks for the help.

IMO, turn back the years on the truck to about 1969. It'll make it easier for the DMV to inspect the engine. All it takes is a vin, title, and an inspector who's into Chevs.

I can't...the engine has to be newer than the vehicle, and the vehicle is a '94.

302's stopped production around 1995. Say it's a 95 5.0 from a Mustang.

It wouldn't be hard to meet emissions for 95 either I don't think. Thank you very much!
