First of all thanks to everyone that replyed to my thread about the fuel tank seperator valve.I got a new Ford one and all is well. While I was under there putting in the new valve I noticed a hole in my muffler. It does not make the truck louder but just give it time.I live in a state where they don't have any check things/places.With that in mind what would you all consider doing.I've got single pipes right now.Who maks a kit for this.I might want to go duels,if I do will I see any difference in power. This is a nice low mileage (40,000) truck. It's a F150 XLT Lariat two wheel drive with all the options.Heck it's still has all the stainless trim and no dents interior like new. While I'm at it tell me what you would do if it was your truck. The color is blue with a silver/blue side between the metal trim. Thanks guys.
Im not sure if anyone makes a kit but you can go to a muffler shop and get them to put on a custom one to fit your truck unless you plan to do the exhaust yourself it might give you more power depends i guess not too sure but will give a sweet sound what would i do well you need to ask yourself that in my honest opinion its your truck do you want to keep it as is and add a sweet exhaust just drive it and keep it in good shape or do you want to restore completely put on mods here and there and make it a street machine personal taste sounds like a beautiful truck
well depending on what size motor you have will determine the size of pipe to run. if you do this consider going the whole way with a set of either shorty or long tube headers, run duals with x or h pipe into muffler of choice then go out. if you have a 302 stay with a 2"-2.25" if its a 5.8 you can run 2.5-2.75" exhaust.
flowmaster and magnaflow are great mufflers. headers you wanna spend some money there with either gibson, jba, edelbrock, bbk or bassani. the long tube headers I am not to familiar with all the brands but no if you go cheap they wont last or work well.
They dont really have a kit for those trucks (atleast not one that I have been able to find yet) you prolly just need to get a muffler and take the thing to a local muffler shop and have them make the exhaust system there.
