Question need a little help

need some help guys. Sunday afternoon I was going to wash my truck as I was backing out of the garage I noticed something wet on the floor. I felt like at first it was the condensor dripping water but when i went inside to get the wash bucket and stuff I kneeled down and touched the "water". It seemed clear enough to be water but it had a oily feel to it, it doesnt have a color to it. I climbed under the truck and noticed the oil plug was leaking a little around it from being undertightened so fixed that. I knew that wasnt what was leaking from the engine though so I continued to look around and couldnt find anything that related to what was dripping. After cleaning it up and pulling back in I cleaned the floor up and placed a piece of cardboard under the truck to see where it was leaking from and maybe what it was that was leaking. this morning the cardboard had a spot about 6" around that was wet from the leak. I got to the office and parked went out at lunch to see if it was still dripping and I cant really tell if it was or wasnt.
It seems that it is coming from the passenger side about inline with the front wheel. any thought of what that would be?

Kind of strange. This is a long shot but does your A/C work? The oil in the A/C system doesn't really have color, and the location may be around the evaporator. I know that was a long shot but theres a first for everthing, right.

the AC is working fine, that may be a good point though that you made. I am ignorant for the most part of where all the parts are located on this diesel.

You may get a better response from the super duty section. It doesn't sound like an engine leak, but who knows. I don't know what else it could be other than what I have mentioned. What does it smell like?

ac oil usually has a yellow-green tint to it due to the dyes in these ac systems. keep an eye on your coolant because with gold coolant, it will look clear. i have had some egr cooler hoses leak and it will go either right or left on the back of the block.

I had a shock leaking this year, same thing, clear...kind of oily. You should see a trail leading from the shock if you did not inspect that area real well.
