i have a 96 4x4 and did a little wheelin the other day and when i dropped off into a pretty deep hole i bogged down hard when the water went up and over the hood. once it was able to breath again i was good to go, but i was wondering if anyone made an air intake setup that moved the intake away from the front of the hood?

thats just not a good place for it when u get into some deep mud and water

 

you can fab up a snorkel. I have seen someone on another bronco site used a landrover discovery II snorkel. others have ghetto fabbed there own with pvc etc..

 

the idea had crossed my mind but i dont want to cut into the truck, its still in really nice shape. and i just dont want to cut into the sheetmetal
