I hear EA3 will let you enter a lot more info. Wether it's more accurate or not? Hard telling. I dont really trust any of these computer simulations. They're more a tool for testing different combinations, like cams.

Well as Kurt mentioned there alot of input and spec data you need to know about the parts your going to use..

I have the DD2 on my laptop, and the EA3 and EA3.3 on the desk top!! The DD2 I have noticed is very generous with low end TQ, and show slightly higher HP then either of the EA's (Engine Analyzer)

Now rather or not you can handle the EA's ? Look I'am a computer Dummy and I can do it! But with that said..I do know part specs and what to do if a cam is not bleeding off enough compression, or adjusting the proper CFM for carburation according to Intake and head flow at XXX Lift and so on..But that only comes with time ..and building!

Go too Performance Trends dot com and download the Demo EA3.3 I think its good for a 10 day trail.....and you can call and have the demo code refreshed 1 time for another 10 days!

Thats what I did before I bought the program....I suggest thats what you do to get your feet wet... If I were to set here and type in all the variable's that the program does and need input on.. This post would be 50 pages long...

So do the download and you can see what I do on my end when I'am putting motor combo's together...And you have realize these are just a building and parts testing combo tool!! The EA3 will get you in the ballpark, I have probably done 500 builds on the EA3, and 4 actual builds were done from the results of the program..

1 that I did and sold... 3 others for friends in the drag racing community..and only 1 engine ever made to the actual Dyno room...and the EA3 was within 2% at 800hp and within 3% on the TQ..But with that being said... You can build an engine..and put it on 3 different Dyno cells and get 3 different sets of numbers...

But what I like about the EA's in comparison to the DD's, is that the more actual inputs you can give the program as a givin a "known" if you will..the more accurate the test will be..and not a generalization of data!! But an actual givin! It has to be closer..

But the true test is the rubber to the road!! Take 2 motors ..1 making 500hp and 1 making 425hp..and the guy with the 500hp engine gets smoked by the lesser HP motor? Well then it comes down to drivetrain and suspension set-up..Who has the best set-up..Not Dollar wise..But just the right combo..

Hell there's guys out at the track now, that are running in the Nastalgia apperring,-sp? cars that were they have to look stock inside and out that are running high 10 low 11 sec passes on Bias ply tires!!! Repops made like they were back in the 60's and early 70's....and we couldnt get those tires to hook back then! But these guys are..They know the trick set-ups!!

I didnt want to write a book here..But Just wanted to put and end to some pro's and cons of all these Programs and also the actual engine dyno's... JMO..
