[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-Jul-02 AT 07:56 PM (EST)]I just received my new dome light housing, lens, bulb, and gasket for the entire dome light assembly on my 1960 Ford F-100. I have two screws holding the old housing right now, one very long (about 2 inches) with a phillips head, and one that is 1-1/2 inches-long (looks to be a correct original) with a slotted head (both are wood-style screws). I am doing a 100% correct restoration, and would like to have the correct style screws. It looks like the slotted one is correct, but I am not 100% sure. Anyone have a 1959-1960 Ford truck and knows which one is correct?
Hi,
My '59 Parts and accessories catalog shows (2) screws 6-18 x 3/8", but doesn't say if it is slotted or phillips head. I'm almost positive that it should be phillips head, but I'll check further. My dome light was sitting in the glovebox when I bought my truck, and the screws were missing. Sorry.
