front coil spring question?

My truck (an 05 F250 PSD model) has the 6000 pound coil spring set from the factory on it...from what I understand...a truck that has the plow package installed has the 6600 pound coil spring set,.. If I were to purchase this 6600 pound rate coil springs and install them, would it require a re-alignment of the front end?...and if I'm wrong about these numbers, please correct me with the right info, thanks !

Yes ,it would require a alignment.any time you mess with the physical demensions or a front suspension part it needs to be realigned.also after the new springs settle in ,it could/may need another one too.

I saw air bags for the front springs while surfing the other day. Might be an option.

Do you happen to remember where you saw them at?

If you have 6000lb. springs you already have the plow package. These springs will hold up a 1000lb. plow with no problem, but you will need at least 1000lbs. of ballast. The next step up in spring size are the 7000lb. springs used in the F450-F550. If you install these plan on wearing a mouthguard and helmet!
