3rd brake light question

I was looking for a clear l.e.d. 3rd brake light for my 94 Ranger. The only ones I can find are 95-00. Is there any difference in the 94 and the 95? They look the same to me. The stock lights are listed as w/cargo lamp 93-94: w/o cargo lamp 93-97. Anyone know why I can't use the clear l.e.d. for a 95 on a 94? BTW, I have the cargo lights on mine.

Shape, shape of the cab (probably that), possibly wiring and how the bulb is held in, all kinds of things.
