Turn signal return

I know this is getting a lil picky but it's aggravating me since I got my new truck. When I make a turn the signal doesn't turn off automatically unless I make a really sharp turn. I guess I'm just spoiled - my old 97 F150 wasn't like that. I just wondered if anyone else has noticed it or if there's an adjustment I can make. (07 F150 XLT 5.4 4x4)

Its not your imagination, OR we are both in trouble.

Mine does basically same thing. I dont know of anything you can do about it. I guess its like the blinker stick being kinda high as compared to my last vehicle, BUT, I've gotten used to that now.

your not the only picky one. It drives me crazy. I've also noticed that the lever won't return to neutral until the steering wheel is almost straight up either. I'd gotten used to it resetting about mid-way through the apex of a turn.

HeHe - yeah I do that too. Glad to know I'm not the only one. I guess I'll get used to it over time

You're not alone. They went from one extreme to another. My 04 Taurus turns off if you breathe on it. Somewhere in the middle would be perfect.

It probably has to do with the lock to lock ration of the steering wheel. That wheel turns ALOT and it's a big wheel, which means there's probably a lot of slack built into the system to keep the directional from turning off when it's not supposed to. I agree though, it is annoying. I've gotten into the habit of "helping" it turn off near the end of my turn.
