weird electric problem

hey all, my truck is having some pretty funny electric issues. I was driving down the highway tonight and the fuel level, engine temp, and oil press gauges all died. Indicators didnt work, and the headlights were blinking (this, i think, might be because of a seperate cause, but who knows). I parked it to unload some stuff, got back in maybe 5 minutes later (engine still warm) and everything worked.

whats the deal?

do you know if it was specifically the ground, the power, or both?

thanks alot, ill definitely look into that as this is not something like "well, she's having a little trouble starting, time to get a new motor, trans, shocks, diff, tires, brakes, and a repaint". Im glad i get to start cheap...

Completely Clean and secure the battery cables on both ends.

Corrosion affiliated with battery can be remarkable.
