Which set of headers should I use on a 1978 400 engine, .060 over, Comp. Cams #265DEH cam, roller rockers, Edelbrock Performer 400 non-egr intake, Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS carb 4 barrel, C6 tranny?
the heddman's have a lifetime warranty which is gonna be nice but the hooker's are tuned.... what matters more to you???? that should make your desicion.
The headmens have a little bigger flange, and are alittle cheaper, and will last just as long as a set of hookers will if not longer, but the only problem is, that ceramic coat isn't going to be the longest lasting thing out there, they might have a lift time garantee on the construction of the headers, but not the coating.
Also, just curious, why the ceramic coated headers?
I was looking for headers a while back, and wanted the ceramic coated ones, but new it wouldn't last much longer than a year if not less(from what I've been told). But I wanted to keep heat out of the engine bay too, but figured a set of $90 summit headers with header heat wrap would give me what I want, just not the looks, might be somthing to think about.
