I am looking for a little help for my 53 f-100. Some where I saw a single piece door glass in a truck, and was wondering if anyone knew anthing about this. I would love to eliminate the vent windows. It should be reliavely easy for a glass shop to cut the glass since it is flat, but I was wondering if anyone else had experience with this and could give me some pointers. especially when it come to redoing the track. Thanks

I recently put power windows in my 50 F1 Panel, and did away with the wing windows, made a track for the front of the door, and used the motor/track assy out of a mini van, was a way easy modification. I have cut a template for the window outta plexiglass, which i am going to take to the local glass shop.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-Aug-02 AT 04:50 PM (EST)]there is some body work required... the opening in the door (where you rest your arm) has to be changed and the upper hinge pocket has to be reworked to make room for the track.. there was a vendor at the supernationals that had a kit to do it.. if I hadn't already finished my doors, I would have looked into it more closely.. maybe someone here can give you the name/address
