Does anyone know or have any experience with Rough Country levelling kits for an F250 good or bad? I really like the Pro Comp kit but wondering if the difference is price is worth it.
well are they leveling coils... or leveling spacers ?... if its coils.... it doesnt really matter.... either or... rough country coils would be fine.... just depends which brand your partial on
what year F250? I have a 99 F350 psd sb sc 4x4 . I've got a Rough Country leveling kit in it for 2 years now. It rides ok, not as good as stock but not bad by any means.
I've got a heavy front bumper and a warn winch on a reciever. If I take the winch off the ride gets harsher over washboard. If your putting this on a daily driver I'd think twice. The springs I have are great with the weight of the diesel and winch/bumper but don't ride really smooth unless the camper is on the truck. I think they are a little to stiff for the average guy but I love them doing 50 mph up a logging main with the camper on. All said, if your sprung weight is close to stock these spring will give you a rougher ride. If my truck was a daily driver with no load, I'd replace them but all my truck does is pack a camper or go hunting/fishing and they work great for that.
i threw in a set of leveling leafs in my fathers 02 F250. they were from superlift and they seemed to really help the ride! i didnt get to ride in it much but he said it helped!
In a few months I will be going in to get a Rough country 1.5" add-a-leaf for the front of my 85 F-250. I need the lift since I put my bumper on. It pulled the tops of my tires in by .65", and now it looks really low in the front. I was told they don't make the leveling kits for my truck anymore, and the add-a-leaf or a full lift kit was the only way to go.
Thanks for all the info guys but the more research I do I believe I will go a little bigger and do a 4" suspension lift I am looking at Fabtech and Pro Comp. Also where is the best place to buy stuff online? I have been looking at 4wheelparts.com but just curious if there are any places with cheaper prices or possibly custom suspension/tire/wheel packages.
4wheelparts will d1ck you over! i have used national tire and wheel and they have superb customer service! not to mention if you mention that 4 wheel parts has a better deal they will usually compete with them and match 4wheel parts price
