the high pressure oil pump internal or extenal?

Hi, Welcome to FTE.

The HPOP is external, and it sits below the fuel filter housing, on the top of the engine in the front. Under the Powerstroke cover.

it is external. it is right underneath the plastic powerstroke engine cover at the front of the engine
