Cat Question

On the cat, there is or was a tube coming up from it...looks like it heads to the engine...what should be there?

Should be a tube running from the cat up to the engine compartment which belongs to the emissions system. It comes up the back of the motor on my 86 then goes into the emissions system.

It is the tube from the air pump to the cat. The air flow from the pump throught the tube to the cat! This tube (flex) was a weak point!

You can plug the whole, mine rusted off and there was no air pump on the truck so I just plugged it and it works great.
