Bed Weight

Do any of you know about how much a complete bed on a 55 would weigh?
I am changing rearends and will lowering the rear some way. I didn't know if the weight of the bed would affect the stance if I lower by removing leafs or not.
Thanks

I haven't weighed one but my guess would be about 300 pounds with bed wood installed. Yes, it will affect your stance. If I remember correctly my 48 came down about 1 to 2 inches after the bed was installed. It was enough that I had to remove and re-install the rear anti-sway bar to avoid clearance issues. If using stock springs I'd suggest you either wait until you have the bed on or use a 300 pound dummy weight to decide on how many leaves to remove.

It will absolutely affect your stance. I'm guessing Verns guess of 300# is close. Maybe just a little more perhaps?
