99 Psd

Hello I am new to this board and have a question about my 99 PSD. When I first start my truck and drive down the road it will act as though it runs out of fuel and dies. It will start back up after turning it over for 10-15 seconds. Now if I sit still and let it warm up where the temp guage needle is just about to the c mark I can than take back off and it will run fine. Truck is 4wd with 130K on it I have not changed the fuel filter yet. When it starts to run out of fuel I can mash the acc pedal which makes no change it just stalls out. It only seems to happen after the truck has sat overnight or after complete cool down.

Welcome to FTE!

i always let my PSD warm up and wont move her until the needle is above the 'c' on the dash temp gauge. take it easy on the accelerator until the engine is up to NOT (normal operating temp)

i too change my fuel filter with my oil change. actually with the new ULSD i had to change it twice this time around.

Let it warm up. Cold day after the engine has sat for hours, it takes the oil a bit longer to start to circulate.
