Today I went to a few local pick-a-parts and was looking for the stuff to do my hydro-boost conversion when I came across this FORD F350 crew cab that something fell on the roof,looked inside and saw the controls for a GEAR VENDORS overdrive unit so I dove under the truck and there it was!! Hooked to a C6!! So I removed it and when I got up to pay for it I thought I was ging to pay through the nose for it,but the guy looked at me and said "what is it?" so I told him it was an OD unit didn"t know what to charge me so he charged me half the price of a transfer case.So out the door I went for $65.00!!!! Lets see, thats a savings of $2600.00!! Not too bad for a days play! Now all I have to do is get a C6 for my 390!

Wow, Those deals don't come around often. What that shows is there isn't much demand for them, and I think because of their price.
I would suggest a 73-76 F series as a donor for a tranny, the power steering/brake upgrade parts will be there as well.
