Push-Pull Switch
I have an old push-pull switch laying around that i'm wanting to use. Its a simple "on-off" switch but it has three prongs on the back of it. I know one of them is the source and the second the postive but what about that third one? Ground? Or another positive?
I don't have a test light at the moment or a DVM.

There are many different configurations of switches. My guess for yours is a SPDT. This stands for "single pole, double throw" That means you have one connection that moves in two different positions. If my guess is correct, of the three terminals you have, one will be common. If you push the switch in, the common will connect to one of the other terminals. If you pull the switch out, the same common terminal will be connected to the other terminal.
