Door light problem continues
Door ajar light stays on unless both front doors are open. Key on Engine off dinger only dings with door closed. I just had the latch out and when I pulled the door switch, it started dinging. I have replaced the KSM and GEM, and RH door switch sence the LH works (just incorrectly.) 2002 F250 Crewcab. Any ideas?

I had a problem on my 99 F-250SD , the door ajar light with the dome and both door lights coming off and on when ever they wanted along with the chiming.I went and seen my buddy who works at the Ford dealer he sprayed some wonder lube on the door switch which is under the door lock.Fixed the problem.

Had the same problem with my 98 Ranger. Interior light and "door ajar" light would stay on for some time even after doors were closed. Happened 3 times so far, have replaced driver's side door switch 2X and pass side 1X in the 8 years and 115K I've owned this truck. No problems yet with my 2 SD's switches but the door switches in them look the same as the Ranger's switch. Maybe a badly designed switch or just a bad cheap part in general. Hate having to replace them, kinda a PITA. Switch is cheap $wise though. I did try the spray trick too but it only worked for a little while. So, if the spray doesn't work, resign yourself to R&R.

The front's are good. I can get a different signal from the drivers open/closed. Pass front is new. Rears will be new soon, maybe tomorrow.
I don't believe the problem is the switches. I can't figure out why the front's act the way they do.
