Front springs
I am rebuilding my front springs on my 55. I am installing reversed eye main leafs. Do you have to use the wrap around spring or can you leave it out. Looks like it would require some cutting down to make it work. How much of a drop would I get if I leave out a spring and use reversed eye leafs? Anybody got any ideas?

Front springs
I've recently installed reverse eye springs (main leaf only) on my '53 and had to cut the wrap off of that particular spring (There's been previous posts on this.) My truck was actually slightly higher afterwards due to the original springs sagging so much!!
Ride is much better after reconditioning the springs though. Good luck.
