i just bought my first truck and i love it. its an 89 f-150 supercab 4x4 straight 6. i paid $600 for it and its not in the best of shape. it was used as a ranch truck in south dakota and only has 86000 miles. its been rolled on its left side and i have mannaged to get most of the dents out. it runs great and is a great workhorse. i feel it has already paid for itself as i have gatherd firewood, taken trash to the dump, takin my family on country minimum maintanence roads( you 4 wheelers know what i mean)
im a wanna be shade tree mechanic, and im having trouble with the fuel system. the truck was run on propane on the ranch and then converted back to gas after they rolled it. i cant switch from the rear tank to the front, and the front tank is full of gas. the fuel pump is toggel switched on the dash and runs constantly when turned on ofcourse. gas is leaking between the tanks somewhere with the truck running and turned off. very frustraititng and costly.
anyway, hello, my name is dave, and any suggestions would be greatly welcome.
