Got a 2000 PSD E450 Ambulance. Quit while driving dowm road. NEW CPS, FUEL PUMP, Electronic module on HP Oil Pump, New Batt's, New Fuel Filter, Sent IDM off and checks OK. 158,696 miles. It was low on power and acting like a skip about 15 min before it quit. Only low on power when it quit. HPOS is within 1/2 inch from top. Removal of plug on rear of head and this puppy has good fuel pressure. Motor was just out for flex plate and had new rod & mains put in. Motor spins great will not fire. No smoke while cranking. Cecked voltage prior to VCG only .7 not the 110-115dc. Where is the fuse or relay for IDM and what No or position is it???
Disconnect IDM Connector and Ohm out the injectors from the IDM side of the circuit that will verify the Pathway from the IDM to the VC and check feed voltage to IDM at that connector while you have it off.
Replaced CPS twice, long shot they were both bad. Don't know of way to test. One of them was new, replaced when truck first quit running. Truck doesn't have tach on it either
