F4 rear end

any ideas of how to get 55-60mph out of my 1951 f4. It has a chevy 350, muncie 4 spd and a 6-35 rear end (5.83). I see that model also had a stock 5.14 rear end listed. Would other gears listed as stock for the F3 or others work in my rear end?

4 options

1) overdrive tranny
2) swap out the axle gears
3) swap out the axle
4) run larger tires
Personally I'd go with the overdrive tranny, you should have lots of options with the Chevy 350.

The rear axle parts only interchange been the F-4 and F-5. So the F-3 gears won't work. Changing the rear ratio will only drop you 400 rpm but overdrive will drop like 1000 rpm.
