Bad Rings? HELP!

A few months ago I took my truck mudding. I sprayed off the engine compartment and a few weeks later the truck started missing. I was told by the dealer it was wet ignition coils and that its a common problem. I go the coils changed and the truck ran good but then the problem started up again. I noticed blue smoke coming from my exhaust and I was burning through oil pretty fast. Sure enough I took it in to a new mechanic and he said i probably have bad rings. The spark plugs were covered in oil. What would be the smart thing to do if I did have bad rings on the truck? Is it something you could get by with having as long as you keep filling the oil?Is there any alternative besides geting the block removed? Any help is appreciated!

First I would change the PCV valve to rule out that it is sucking oil.
