Strange Noise! Please help.

I'm getting a strange noise that sounds like pressure building when I am crusing. It disappears on accelleration and when I get off the pedal. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this the wastegate hanging up or is it a bad sensor somewhere? Any Ideas anyone has would be appriciated. Thanks.

Dave

Sounds like the exhaust back pressure valve. Its normal when colder as it helps the engine warm up a little quicker. Do a search and see if that fits.

Temp doesn't seem to matter. It doesn't do it all the time and sometimes it stops as it warms up, but sometimes it keeps going once the engine is up to temp. I've been driving the truck for a few years during the same types of weather and it hasn't done it before.
