I have a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria with 87,000 miles on it and I've been looking for a truck lately...one that has caught my eye recently. The truck is a 1990 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat Supercab with a 9 foot bed. It has a 351 V8 in it with a limited slip differential on it. Nice looking truck except it needs a new paint job, has power windows, power locks, excellent interior. Outside red with silver trim, inside red/scarlett red interior. Looks like a nice truck but it has 115,000 miles on it. Has a nice tank and reserve tank on it, but it needs to be filled up above a half tank in the regular and reserve tank because if the tank is below a half tank of fuel the truck does not run. Has to do with the starter or EFI I think. Kinda sucks. I've been thinking about buying it and the guy will take $2,500 for it. Wanted originally 3,500 for it. I was thinking about weighing the pros and cons if I should get the truck or keep the car.

I've been looking for a truck and I want this truck but I don't know if i should go ahead a get it though. I would like some opinions on this.
First of all these are two totally different things so you can't really compare them, its based on what you want. The truck will be lots of fun for sure the 351w will be plenty of power and the XLT Lariat is top of the line. The Bed will is an 8 foot bed. Is it a 4x4? As for the problem with the fuel, that would drive me nuts so I would get that fixed ask one of the guys in the 87-96 F-series message board, maybe someone could help ya. Have you driven it? As long as it runs good and checks out alright I would go for it for $2500 but see if you can get it for $2000 first, because of the gas tank problem. You will be at the gas station roughly once a week with the tank problem though depending on how much you drive as well. Good Luck and let us know if you get it.
