Need Tranny Help
Hey everyone. I got a big problem. I went to pull my tranny out of my Bronco today to replace the front seal. Anyways the front pump got pulled off to the replace the gasket in that. well needless to say the hub behind the pump wasnt line up right when I put the pump back on I broke a couple of ears off of it. I got another hub from the tranny I got sitting around here but the clutches is shot in it. Its a C-6 in a 78 Bronco. Well I need to rebuild it now I guess and have never done it before, so I was looking for some tips. I am thinking about buying the TCI Maximizer kits (tci-448905) from summit for 189.00. Do you guys think that should do it for everything I need. Ithought about taking to a shop but buy the time they got done with it a couple hundred more I could get a reman from tci.

The Haynes manual was pretty good step by step pictures for tear down and rebuild, a picture for nearly every part and what you should note during the tear down process. It is a B&M step by step process but I think the TCI kit may come with its own manual. I would follow TCI's manual and keep the Haynes manual handy for pictorial references.
