Personally I would'nt waste my money on those. I cant say ya or nay on them working but for our trucks getting a good intake..exhaust and chip will be more benifical. IMHO

i already have a intake down tube. and a programmer. also a slightly larger turbo. so i was looking at it from theperspective that if it keeps extra crud out of my engine it otta make my motor last longer. so shoudl be worth it.

its called the CCV mod around here but we do it a bit differently and for different reasons. the superduty guys do it to keep the oil vapor from going into the intercooler. I've done it on my truck jsut to get rid of the restrictive intake runner where the crank case vent goes into the intake tubing.

here what to do. take all the intake tubeing off fromt he filte rto the turbo. remove the dog house housing from the top of the drivers side valve cover. remove the rubber hose that goes form the housing to the intake tube. reinstall the housing back on the valve cover but with the hose pointing back toward the firewall. then plug the hole in the intake tubing or replace the whole thing with 4" exhaust pipe with a mounting tab weld on to hold it in place. then on the housing attach a peaice of hose and run it down to the frame and stop where ever you want to. some just run it below the cab (did that and not recommended becasue of vapor coming up to the open windows of the truck) and some just run it to the rear of the truck. some even plumb it into the exhasut so the vapor is masked my the exhuast.

same results and cheaper

Search this site for CCV mod.
HERE's one that's similar.

Most guys just run it under the truck or into the exhaust instead of trapping it.

Trucks with intercoolers befit the most form this mod. It keeps the oil mist from getting into the IC tubes and the IC itself. The tubes have been know to blow off because of oil mist + the oil settles in the bottom of the IC making it less efficient.
