Looking For Hot Wire
Just Installed An After Market Sat Radio In My 2005 Ex. I Ran The Wire For The Antenna Behind The Dash, Under The Trim And Finally Out The Rear Passenger Side Door, Looks Clean. My Next Goal Is To Hard Wire The Radio Into The Vehicle Instead Of Plugging The Thing Into My Cig Lighter. Looking For A Wire Under The Dash That Goes Cold When You Turn Off The Ignition And Hot When On.
Second Question: With The Vehicle Off And The Sat Radio Off, Will Leaving The Radio Plugged Into The Cig Lighter Kill My Battery With The Small Red Indicator Light On The Plug?

Look for a black pink wire from the steering column / ignition switch. This is the power lead to the radio. If you can find this wire test it with a volt meter to confirm power on when key is on and off w/key off. This should work. Jim
