Install tank type block heater
I want to install a tank type coolant heater on my 6.9 Diesel. Currently the cab heater circuit comes out about 1/3 of the way back on the passengers side below the valve covers and the return goes to the water pump. It seems to me that if I use the heater supply circuit I will only be warming about a quarter of the engine. There doesn't seem to be a place to connect near the back of the block. Is there a better place to plumb into to achieve better circulation?
